This painting was made out of longing, waiting, and quiet hope. The whales came to me as calm, family-shaped beings, carrying something ancient and tender through a dark, uncertain space. For me, standing on the back of these whales feels like being carried by something larger than fear and the unknown. This painting is a small love letter to something that is not here yet, but has already changed everything.
